How It All Started ♡

Believe it or not, Just A Sliver started with someone who had never even had a cake pop!

I’m not a coffee drinker, so Starbucks was never really on my radar—which meant I had somehow gone all these years without ever seeing or hearing about a cake pop. And here’s the funny part: I don’t even like cake. I’ve never been a cake eater and can honestly say I’ve never sat down and enjoyed a slice of cake.

So how did I end up with a cake pop business?

It all started when I decided to try making cake pops as a gift. I had no idea what I was doing, but I gave it a shot. Since I don’t eat cake myself, I recruited the people around me to be my official taste testers. Family and friends tried them, loved them, and kept telling me how delicious they were.

That little experiment sparked an idea: maybe I should give this a try.

So I kept experimenting with different flavors, coatings, and toppings, and eventually Just A Sliver Cake Pop Cart was born.

To this day, I still don’t eat my own cake pops! My trusted family and friends happily handle the taste-testing while I focus on creating new flavors and making each batch.

It may be an unusual way to start a cake pop business, but I think that’s part of what makes the Just A Sliver story so much fun. What started as a simple homemade gift has grown into a little weekend cart that I absolutely love creating for—and sharing with—our community. ♡
